Sheffield is renowned for its street riding and is home to a concrete skatepark, a BMX track, various trails, downhill tracks and now The Industry indoor skatepark, located a stones throw away from the city centre.

The skatepark is due to open in mid June and will feature a ramp room and a street room. In addition there will be a shop, a cafe and even a licensed bar. Once a month the skatepark will present live bands and DJs.

Lots of work will take place over the following weeks to meet the opening deadline. Street hero Joe Cox is helping out Alex Riley among others on the construction.

Getabmx can reveal that the ramp room will have a 7foot quarter, a jump box, a spine, a hip and a number of other quarters and features to tie everything together.

Expect frequent updates over the coming weeks until the park is open to the public.
