Dirt Wars 2013 Round 2 at Holdshott. The level of riding has really gone through the roof; riders in Open are now doing tricks which would have placed them on the podium in Pro only a few years ago. This round was no exception.

The Great British weather doesn’t make organising a dirt jump competition easy. Due to the weather forecast predicting heavy rain on the day scheduled for the event it was brought forward at the last minute. Funnily enough Sunday turned out sunny as hell, which benefited our Rigid Life vol.1 session at PORC. There was a mix of sun and drizzle throughout the day, but luckily the rain never got heavy enough to interrupt the comp. Even more lucky was that during podium proceedings straight after Best Trick the heavens opened good and proper.

This was shot during practice before getting down to filming procedures. Only the second time shooting with an external flash too.

Shot on a Canon 550d, Canon 10-22 lens and Yongnuo YN565EX Speedlite.
